How to Get Rid of Scars Naturally

Having scars re such a bummer because it is so hard to get them to go away! I have seen some scars go away overtime, but yet I still have scar that I have had since I was ten years old. Well, I have been doing some research and have found some help in getting rid of scars.

My first “recommendation” is one that most people are familiar with and that is the use of Vitamin E. Now I am about to bash on Vitamin E just so that you will stop depending on it. The thing about Vitamin E(according to About.com) is that it has never been tested to prove that is can help scars. It has been tested to relieve inflammation after surgery or after getting some kind of wound. However, in the studies done there have been no results that Vitamin E gets those scars to go away! According to a study that About.com has researched a set of doctors did a test on people who had just had surgery. They wanted the patients to use Vitamin E everyday for 12 weeks to see if it would help to reduce their scars. Well, 12 weeks later and 90% of the patience saw no difference. Also, the same test revealed that using Vitamin E on a fresh wound might make things worse!

Ok so now let me move on to two remedies that you can actually try yourself. The first one is Onion Extract. Onion Extract is found in many scar treatment creams that can be bought in many drugstores. However if you’re looking for something a little more potent and powerful then you want to consider talking to your doctor about getting your hands on some pure Onion Extract or a cream that has a more potent effect. Onion Extract is known to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. These properties help to control the formation of collagen. Now the thing about this extract is that you may not see a difference in the size of your scar, but you will get to see it lighten up a lot. With about two months of using Onion Extract you should notice that the scar is a lot more soft and faded.

My last recommendation is Topical Honey. Now this remedy has been used for centuries to help dress wounds and burns. In 2006 a study conducted by University of Waikato in New Zeland on 2,000 that had some kind of wound. They found that honey as a great anti bacterial and anti-inflammatory. However, doctors did not see as great of results in curing scars as they had hoped. However, if you use honey with other scar beating agents like aloe Vera, gotu kola, vitamin C and zinc you should have great results in just a few months.

Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm runs from about $18.99-$22.00; and if you purchase this product form Amazon.com you can save $10.00 if you spend $100 or more on their other product offerings, of course there are restrictions that apply, so before you get down and start buying up just anything find out which products qualify.

Men love this product because it helps to calm sensitive skin. Sometimes we only think that women are the only ones who have problems with sensitive skin, but men do to. This product also works to heal razor burns. The ingredients in Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm helps your face to feel cool and it does a great job of moisturizing irritated skin.

This product does have some accolades! This has been nominated for FHM Grooming Award as the best After Shave Balm. Also, it has been awarded by Men’s Health in 2006 for having the best After Shave Balm. So, with accolades like this we know that this product really is worth investing in.

Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm also works great with Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Shave Cream. If you buy them together on Amazon.com you will only pay $45.00.

This formula has over 20 different ingredients and what I like about the process of creating this product is they have tested the chemical reactions of each ingredient. Since this product has been designed for men with sensitive they wanted to be sure that this would not cause any reactions on this product touches the skin. The chemical reactions of this product have proved to be superior and not harmful.

Here are some directions on how to use Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm. After you have finished shaving your handsome face then apply liberally to your skin. Pay extra attention to the areas of your face that seem to cause you the most irritation. The manufacturer recommends that you also invest in the Hot Towel pre Shave Treatment and Hydroplane Shave Cream. This is a three step process that you will want to follow every time you are going to shave.

So, for you men out there who suffer from sensitive skin this is a product that was designed just for you. This will make your shaving experience so much easier and you will get to medicate those areas on your face that cause you irritation. Yes, this does cost more than what you can buy of the shelf, but this product was designed to treat and heal sensitive skin. So, with that said give it a try!

Review of SK-II Skin Care

by Alia Jae

This skin care product is growing in popularity more and more. SK-II is currently being endorsed by Kate Blanchette and that is why this company has been getting lot of attention from consumers and from the media. You can find this product in the most expensive high end department stores and like so many other products on the market this is an anti aging cream. Before we all get too excited about this product and all the fanfare it is getting lets take a deeper look into to it to see if we can actually benefit from it.

The product in focus is the SK-II Whiting Source Skin Brightener. This product was created to help diminish age spots and other skin discoloration issues. The thing that kind of bothers me though is that they never disclose what ingredients they use to help brighten up age spots and other problems. In the skin care market I know for this one ingredient called Hydroquinone that helps to lighten skin up, but it has also been proven to cause cancer as well. The manufacturer does allude to the fact that they might be using Vitamin C and E in the formula, but really they are just very vague. Maybe because they are so big and popular now they don’t think it is necessary to disclose such important information. I don’t care that a celebrity is endorsing the product, if I am the one that is going to be buying the product then I need to know what is in it!

Here is a product that is worth spending money on is Joey New York Complexion Color Modifier. What I like about this product is that it works so well and a lot less expensive than the product listed above. This Complexion Color Modifier will only cost you $18.00 if you get it from folica.com.

There are five formulas that make this product so great. The first one is Porcelain. This formula helps to whiten and brighten your skin in those areas that are dull and discolored. The porcelain formula also will fill in your pores and keep them from irritants that cause skin discoloration.

Anti-Yellow is awesome because it works to get rid of the yellow tone that some fair skin people have. Anti-Red is another formula that works to fill in pores and helps take away redness and refresh skin. The last two formulas are Tan Enhanced and Bronze. Tan is cool if you have a nice tan that you would like to see enhanced. The Bronze formula evens out dark skin and fills in the pores to keep the skin tone even.

How to De-Stress or Get Stress Relief In This Stressful World

September 7th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

by Jeff Fenske

One of the best stress relievers would be a vacation of your choosing. No, not one you are coerced into by relatives or friends but something you enjoy. Vacation is the one thing that brings the most pleasure to most people. Unfortunately, not everyone can take a vacation when they need to nor can they take a vacation of their choosing when they do have the time. So, I’ll give you some quick tips on how to decompress.

The best stress relief strategy is to not try and completely eliminate all of your stress at once. Instead, begin by making gradual changes through changing habits and gradually working in stress relief strategies that do work.

Stress can be relieved in a number of different ways.

One method of relieving stress is with puzzles. They literally force your mind to change it’s focus and move from what is causing you stress. Puzzles are available in all sizes and for all ages.

Gardening is good, as is splitting/stacking firewood. Berry-picking is also good, since it may involve cutting your way through the woods and briars, picking berries, and enjoying the wildlife.

Most of the time we are too busy to notice the beauty of nature around us. We’re so focused on the negative stress that we totally ignore or don’t let in what is a natural stress releiver. Go for a drive in the country, to the lake or ocean, to the mountains and spend some time observing.

How hard would it be for you to add one simple pleasure to your daily routine?

I started a hobby by buying small cacti at the 99 cent store and replanting in a bigger pot. One, it is inexpensive. Two, you really have to be a poor gardener to not make a cactus grow. I am not kidding. I have had no luck with tomatoes or any vegetable but throw a 99 cent cactus into a new pot and watch it grow. Kind of makes you feel good. Every time I look out my kitchen window I see the little plants I rescued and provided a good home for.

Try some natural stress relief through natural stress reducing supplements. They are frequently as good or better than big drug company prescription drugs.

When is the last time you just relaxed listening to some music of your choice. Not what some radio DJ wants you to hear, but something you really enjoy? When you listen to an old favorite ro the peaceful strains of an accomplished musician, stress can just fall away.

Try picking up an instrument on ebay. Get something easy that you can play around with and have some relaxing fun. I ended up getting a bunch of odd and unusual noise makers for fun but also a nice Native American flute that even I can make sound good.

The Bible lets us know that we can make melody in our hearts and speak to ourselves words of blessing. It is true that when you hear yourself speak words of encouragement or peace, it has a very positive effect. Or, pick up a CD with relaxing passages or words of encouragement.

Stress can be releived by exercise. It provides a way for the body to get rid of all the tension and frustration. Exercise can heal the mind as it shapes your body.

Knowing the best you can be can be accomplished through some exercise. give yourself a boost of self confidence.

Laughter is the best medicine. Physiologically the body improves with a state of happiness. Laughter helps you to relax and reduce high levels of anxiety. So keep laughing for stress relief. Really, good honest, clean humor, which admittedly is hard to find, is the best.

Take some shots-with a camera! Scenes from nature known to have a relaxant effect are the Grand Canyon, the Matterhorn, mountain scenes, woods and pristine beaches. For some people, just pictures can help, but for others, the relief from stress comes from actually being there.

Whatever you eventually choose as your preferred stress relief tip, remember to always find time to do it. Don’t get so busy you don’t take time for yourself.

Emjoi Tweeze: Painless, Effective Results

September 7th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

by Alia Jae

For a low $19.99, you can enjoy the great Emjoi Tweeze that will make your tweezing experience supposedly painless! It was designed to remove the smallest and finest of hair. The precision the Emjoi Tweeze uses is quite impressive.

This tool is battery operated with 2 AAA. What you will enjoy most about this tool is that it is not anything like traditional tweezers that tend to irritate your skin. This tool will not cause your skin to become irritated and tender.

It’s great for travel it will pretty much fit anywhere you put it. What I think is really cool is that you can tweeze in any direction and it will work just the same. You can pretty much tweeze anywhere on your body, except your eyebrows.

I love this tool, but here is another testimonial from Sandra Woo about the Emjoi Tweeze, “When I saw it on the commercial, I decided to try it. When I turned it on, it was really loud, and it scared then crap outta me. Once I [kind of] got used to the noise and began using it, it was really painful. And even though the product description in the box said I’d eventually get used to the pain, I never did. But… if you don’t care about pain or noise, the Tweeze really does work. I guess some results come with a price…”

I like this testimonial because she is so real in her testimony. She said it was painful, other say it not painful. For me this treatment is not that painful it stings more than it being painful. I guess it just depends on the person and what your pain threshold is.

Aside from all the cool features this product has I really like the design of it! Something about the way Emjoi designs their products are just really attractive. This particular tweezer only comes in white. It really like a pearl whit and has a narrow slender shape to it. Honestly, it is not as solid as the other Emjoi shaver products and I guess that is because of the price. Some of the other Emjoi Shavers can cost a couple of hundred dollars, while this one is only $19.99. This really works just fine if you are someone who really doesn’t need to have the most expensive shaver.

So, give this one a try and maybe over time you will want to upgrade to another Emjoi shaver that is more on the professional side.

Andrea Brazilian Hard Wax: Go Hair-Free for Weeks at a Time

September 7th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

by Alia Jae

If you would like to be hair-free for several weeks at a time, then I know that you will want to try Andrea Brazilian Hard Wax for those special areas! Not to worry; this is a very gentle formula, and they give you really clear instructions in order for you to have the best experience. The wax will grab the hair from the root which is what gives your skin that soft and smooth look.

Some Brazilian waxing kits will cost you quite a bit, but this is the most reasonable one I have seen yet! The original retail price was $9.99 which is good, but if you get this product on folica.com you can get this product for only $6.99!

What I really appreciate about this formula is that it was designed for those private parts. They have taken into account that those areas really are more sensitive that the rest of our body and so they have created a formula that will not aggravate our private parts! The professionalism of this product is really as professional as what you would find in a salon, except you get to do this from the comfort of your own home.

Another really great benefit about this product is all you need to make it work is a microwave. It only needs a little bit of time and it is fully heated! Everything that you need is in this kit you don’t need to buy any other products unless you want too. Also, I just love the fact that with this product you don’t need to use those annoying muslin strips that tend to leave residue on your skin.

Here are some simple directions I using this product. You are to heat the wax until it has a creamy consistency and then apply it to your skin. Then within seconds of putting this on your skin it will become pliable. Then all you have to do is pull it off and the hair will come off with it.

I think you will enjoy using this product it is so easy to use!

Take a look at this testimonial from folica.com, “This is the first time I’ve used hard wax at home and it was wonderful. I was finally able to wax my own bikini area. I saved so much money and it’s just as good as what I get when I pay $70 a pop.
